Everyone's excited about this ducktail... but the price does not include having to install the 3rd brake light in the back window... not to mention how it would look.

I think the Roush duckie is better in that respect as you can keep the orig. 3rd brake light. Just my .02

Oh yeah... Thant's right! I didn't even think about the brake light. Do you have to have one or does it depend on the state your in?

The Xenon ductail uses the factory spoiler mount points and keeps the third brake light.

Then why do you think every manufacturer has them now?

Got any links to the Roush and/or Xenon ducktails, preferably with photos of them on a car? I was planning on going with the CDC ducktail, I love the look, but was unaware of the rear brake light issue, now I'll take a look at other options.

I thought I read on another thread here that CDC will have two versions, one without 3rd brakelight, and another with (but from the way it sounded it would be a brakelight that would be mounted on the interior of the roof)

Actually, CDC is supposed to make the version we've all seen, plus one that has a cutout for the 3rd brakelight and the GT badge on the back (u may not have noticed, but its covered up too) although u could just have your bodyshop do that for you. persnally, i like it without the 3rd light - looks more classic (JMO)

Here is the only link I know of of the Xenon Spoiler.

Does anyone know if Xenon has a web site?

Hope you're right, I didn't like the idea of a separate 3rd brake light. I like it without too, but I'm not sure about the legality.

If you mean the GT "gas cap" I'm sure that is not related to the spoiler. It's just how CDC designed that specific car.

I believe it's regulated like airbags, ie all new cars must have them at manufacture, but if you disconnect them it's up to you. Not 100% sure though.

The xenon one looks pretty sharp.

Too bad that one site doesn't ship outside the US

How far are you from Port Huron MI? Have it shipped to me and you can pick it up. I live about 10 minutes from the bridge.

There has got to be an easier way though. Not shipping to Canada doesn't make sense.

The federal gov't requires you to have a CHMSL (3rd brake light) NOT the states. Many state safety inspections require that all lights work, however. In VA, all lights on the car MUST work, even fog lights, to pass. Silly. But if you remove the lights, you can pass. You can't remove headlights, brake lights, etc.

JZ, oh about 4 hours away
no biggie though, thanks for the offer. Just THAT disributor doesn't ship to Canada, I'm sure others will.

What I like about it...it covers and uses the stock spoiler holes...which in canada, we have. No spoiler delete up here.
