That hood is the one I'll be looking for from now on.
That said; The reason I didn't jump on it was the high price. They were very proud of that hood. That probably is the reason for their demise. You can have a superior product (it was) and market it to the max but they were out of the ballpark on the price point (compared to other hoods). It would have been $2K+ by the time you paint and install! Cheese and rice!

But I will be looking for it to make another appearance (SHR?). The Fang Performance hood is not an option. Too many seams. And the KSR Shelby grille is still fresh in my mind.

 

Fair enough on the price point - it's one thing we try to do, be as fair as possible with the highest quality we can manufacture in the U.S. I don't comment on the price of other's offerings, but I know where we want to be with the price when we finally are able to offer our own hood. That said, it would've taken me a long time to pony up that much too, so I do understand where you are coming from.

As to offering their hood - more than likely not. I have a couple of designs I'd like to do, but have not been able to get the manufacturer lined-up to do the work - yet.

Like I posted earlier, there were other factors there that I think contributed to DCF dropping off the radar, but I don't know for sure, so I'll just leave it at that, and hope that you guys never have to ask what happened to us!

I will let you guys know. I was browsing these forums when I worked there. I set up the 'dreamcarfactory' account for on here. I know how you guys felt and I agreed, but there was nothing I could do about it--prices were prices.

It is close but I loved the vents on the back side as well. This was on the top of my list for hoods as well. Hopefully someone will make one similar or I guess I could try and get a California Dream hood and add vents to it. Not too keen on that last part though...
