Dream Car Factory whereabouts??

Does any one know what happened to The Dream Car Factory's website?
http://www.thedreamcarfactory.com/
It's been down and out for at least a week.
They have (had?) my favorite hood replacement styled after the '68 Shelby.

Geez, that is not the answer I was expecting. That hood is the only one that I ever considered.
Fang has one that's close but you have to replace the facia to accomodate it.

I think that those are actually extensions on the Fang one, not a whole new facia. Not 100% sure though.

No, the Fang looks tacked on. I can imagine the headaches trying to install it. Especially when the prototype at a car show looks like crap. But they're close.
DCF definately had it down. Maybe they will resurface in the future.
HEY DREAM CAR, HOW ABOUT IT?

Guys,

They were one of our dealers, and it looks as if the rumors are true. For future reference, if you like a part, you need to pony up somehow to get it. We're mostly small businesses that make these products, a lot of times at very little actual profit when all is said and done. One or two slow months can deep-six a small business that has invested heavily in a product and then nobody jumps on board and buys them to help cover the initial investment in making it.

I'm not saying anything either way as to their marketing and all that, because that plays into it too, but what I am saying is if you're thinking about something you like, and especially if it's new, a lot of times it pays to get on board with it, because otherwise it might not be there tomorrow.

Just .02 from one of the suppliers that knows what it takes to make some of these products...

They did have the best looking hood.......Did any of you watch their mini documentry on their site while it was still up and running?????? It was started by a guy in the construction business, not a hard hat type of guy, but a mobster looking guy (can't remember his name) but he was the head dog and built multi million dollar buildings. He started DCF to try and compete with Shelby, Roush, and Saleen. The last news I heard from them was that they were building a huge new facility and were suppose to move into it after the first of 2006. Before my shelby conversion I really wanted that hood.........I talked to one of their sales reps who sounded about 12 years old.........each time I talked to them they had a very cocky attitude........so although they had a cool hood, Screw em!!!!!! Someone else will market that hood......it has too much potential. DCF sold the hood for $1000. If you wanted it functional it was $1300. I know it can me manufactured and sold for well less rthan that.
