I tend to be a purist, but I came across these at a local Discount Tire. Price is not bad for 18" wheels with tires and I want to dress my windveil blue GT up a bit.

What do you guys think? Nice? Too "ricer" looking for a 42 yr old guy?

If I buy them, I plan to keep my 17's just in case I (or my 2 1/2 yr. old son when he gets it) want to revert to bone stock.

I also think these Katana's look pretty cool. Let me know which wheel you smart people prefer!
IMO there is nothing rice about that wheel. It's a very strong looking wheel. Nice find!

Them being ricey isn't a problem for me, it's the generic multi-hole thing I don't like. I prefer my wheels to look like they were made to fit my car, not just any 5 lug car, regardless of the bolt circle. Just me maybe.

Thanks all. I tried the Enkei's on my car today and the color just didn't work. They're somewhere between silver and gun metal so they didn't work with my silver rocker stripe.

Manager at Discount Tire was great to work with however and he said he'd continue allowing me to try wheels until I find the one's I like. Nice guy. Will defenitely buy from him.

May try the Katana's next week.

Definitely not just you, I thought the same things when I looked at them. The perimeter rivets are OK, but the hub is way too busy. Looks like it came off a semi!

One thing i look for in a wheel is how easy are they to keep clean..With those rivets,I suspect your Friday nights would be committed to a full time cleaning job..

Dangit! Now you guys have me focusing on the center of the Katanas that does look like it has more holes than swiss cheese! That's why I love this forum. The perspective here is always valuable.

I am also thinking putting Japanese wheels on an American Muscle car just doesn't seem right. Never thought I would see the day when I would be this picky about the wheels that go on my car. Another testament to how amazing this car is.

The adventure continues....

$192 a piece at Tire Rack. I think they may look great with the silver accents (rocker stripe) I have in plan for my car.
