Disposable SPRAY-ON clear bra????

http://www.autobarn.net/duplicolor-spray-on-bra.html

Heard this mentioned on Horsepower TV Sunday - not sure about the black one (you can click on the video demo and watch them apply) but the clear might be perfect right before a long trip......

You have to try this stuff out and let me know how it works. LOL

I just ordered some along with the Car Art paint. I'll let you know how it goes. Probably use it this weekend after I wash the car.

lol. That's what the guys at work are saying. I'll do a small test section first just to be on the safe side.
On a side note someone recently backed into my car and put a big hole in the rear bumper. While I was waiting on the new one to get painted, I spray painted the lower lip of the damaged bumper just to see how it would look. Very strange using a rattle can on a new car.

(turned out great by the way. Liked it so much I had the painter do it to the new bumper... but without using spray paint. )

It says it protects against bugs and road grime. I guess it doesn't protect against rock chips?

I'm guessing it does a little bit. Just not enough for them to make the claim.

A friend used it on his C5 Vette for a track day. Worked really well. The problem in getting it off is to make sure you mask well around the grill or you will find yourself laying on the ground with a pail of water and a tooth-brush to get it out of all the nooks and crannies..

Well I didn't try the bra yet, but I did use the Car Art to make a black out panel. It's the same stuff, it just has color.

BTW, It recomends taking it off within 3 days!

I'm only going to use the SHEILD for road trips. Mainly bought it for the drive up to the MCA 30th Anniversary show in Birmingham. Driving up August 31st which down here is the hieght of the Love Bug season. Not good if you're taking your car to a car show.

Look me up at the show, I will be demonstrating a product that I am bringing to the market that is 20 times better than the Duplicolor stuff (which doesn't work very well-no matter how many coats you use the stuff will rub off with just a little finger pressure and won't protect against rocks)!

I'll try to remember.
You're right about that stuff coming off VERY easily. My guess is that a lot of it will come off during a road trip just from bugs hitting it.
