Did i just take a saw to a perfectly good hood?
Yes, I did...
I agonized over this for a while, had it been a customer car, I'd have dove in no problem, but the thought of cutting into my own car gave me pause...
Point of no return, cutting a hole in the hood:
And underhood:
And what it looks like now:
it may just be a placebo effect, but it does seem like it pulls a bit more willingly now like it can breathe better. And you can hear the intake slightly better, too. Matching with the Pypes, now I can give it a tune to take advantage of the air.

Looks real good man. Nice work. I had my share of nervousness when I was hand cutting the heat extractors into my hood. You car is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

That said, there's no way in heck I'd attempt to put louvers into a stock hood. You'd be much better off finding out if you can by a set of heat extractor louvers from another hood - (maybe one of the 2013's?) - then cutting a rectangle to drop them in. Even then, I doubt I'd do it.

I'm obviously biased, but gotta say it looks great. I need to redo my trunk blackout(was magnet) and think I'll get that rear stripe too- love the black on blue
