Custom Emblems

Anyone know a place where I could have some custom chrome emblems made? I would maybe even go the 3D "dome" shaped decal route if I have to. I've seen a few places online that do it, but does anyone recommend one of them? Thanks.

Well I wanted to keep it under wraps until I actually did it, but what I'm wanting to do isn't really any big deal, so here goes....... I want just the running pony in place of my GT emblems. I don't want the tribar pony, just the running pony. The problem is I need one big enough to cover the holes in the fender. Another problem is I need right and left ponies (one for each side) The GT grill pony is way to big, but the V6 tribar pony is too small, even if i cut the tribar part away and just used the pony.

I then started thinking about having the custom ponies made w/ a recessed GT stamped in the middle or something. I just want something different.

Very cool idea. I think the running pony alone would look really good and different.

Try these guys http://think3d.biz/Emblem-Gallery.html

They have 4" running ponies for both sides. Not sure what exact size you are looking for.

I emailed them about 2 hours ago. I need ponies at least 4 3/4 inches in length. I really don't want to go any bigger than that. The ponies on the tribar emblems are 4 1/4 inches long.

One of the above recommended badge places......autobadges I think, said the running pony is a Ford trade mark and they will not infringe on it. Oh well maybe someone else will do it for me.

Just got an email form him, he can make anyting I want. Wants a $200.00 set up fee if I want to register the emblems as mine and mine only. If I give him permission to sell them to anyone else he will drop the set up fee. The pair of emblems will cost me $120.00. Thats a lot of money for emblems, but I know he does good work.

Thomas at Think3D is prototyping the 281 Chevron. He told me that he's hoping to have something done in a bout 6 - 8 weeks. As soon as he gets the 281 chevron done I'll be taking off my 281 from underneath the tri-bar pony and putting a 281 chevron up front where it belongs ie. 1966 289 location.

I made those a year ago. I recall what a pain it was to make the "1".

Also made a V-6 version.

Agreed, however to keep things in the proper scale, and if these emblems are to be placed between the headlight and fender opening, they should be about 3/4 scale of the original emblems. The Classic Stangs had a much larger area to put an emblem there than the S197 does, and it would look too big IMO.

I am currently painting my GT fender emblems the same color as the body.
Looking for the "stealth" look.
Anyone know a place to buy painted GT emblems?
I've seen the running pony... a little too pricey for my wallet.
