CS style scoops from AM
its always nice to post a link to the part so people dont have to go search out a part......not sure about the side scoops, but the hood scoop they offer, though it looks just like the roush scoop does not fit just like the roush. it requires a little tweeking to sit flush on the hood.
i went with the roush hood scoop, fit perfect, but i know a few people that got the am version and the frt corners sit up off the hood. you can see it in the pics on the am website too. it can be fixed by scribing the center block to fit the hood right lowering the frt corners.
ive thought about side scoops myself a few times so i would like to know about them too. am came out with their own parts maybe a couple yrs ago, so i`m on the fence about the parts too.
I just bought the CS style side scoops from AM and they are a perfect fit and match in colour
The only minor thing that could be improved is maybe using slightly thinner 3M tape to stick the scoops on.

Well I don't want em bad enough to drill holes in my 1/4 panel!
Says their OEM?? Had no idea originals required drilling?

I was thinking of getting the scoops the OP asked about but after reading the reviews I may go with something else. Quite a few of the reviewers had fitment issues that were dealt with by AM. A few never did get any that fit and still others that said they fit said that when you got close you could see the tape. I think I'll skip the headaches.

$189 pair painted. 3m tape on
I bought a set of Ford CS scoops a while ago for under $200 and had them painted locally.
The advantage of drilling holes is to never have to worry about them coming off (same as the hood scoops) but some people don't want to drill holes so the stick on type are a good alternative as long as they are installed properly.
Either way, I personally like the look of side scoops along with quarter window scoops on this style mustang. It seems to give it a little Shelby gt350/500 look from way back in the day.
Here are a few pictures.

That was exactly the info I was looking for!
I would prefer the OEM scoops, but drilling holes
In perfectly good metal is just NOT an option for me.
Guess I'll have to go aftermarket....
Scoops couldn't be taped on???
The pins that are used are removable so you have both options.
They factory scoops are good quality and pretty solid so as long as the surface prep is done very well it should be no different than the other stick on types.
