Has anyone ever changed their vinyl top out for the nice looking cloth ones like the ones used on the gt500? I've found some places like lmr that have ones like this, but I was wondering if you all had any experiences with this? Kind of an uncommon question but the vinyl on my is getting dirty and it's cheap looking anyways.

Share your process and what you paid and where you got the top from and everything if you would.

 

My back window detached last year and I got a cloth top for it. Insurance paid for it, but I think the total bill was like $1,400 installed.

 

My top got cut, so I had to get it replaced and upgraded to the cloth too... Same as above, my insurance paid for it (it was around $2k if I remember right, it's been about 4-5 years). Got a recommendation from the my Ford store for a local guy that just does convertible tops and it turned out great! It's a bit more work to keep nice, IMO, but it looks MUCH better than the vinyl...

 

Yeah I love the look of the cloth over vinyl, and that's a little pricey but someday it'll be worth it
