clearance?
I've only had the body-kit on my car for about 3 weeks now and I've already scrapped the underside of the front bumper twice :bang: (theres only so much that I can angle car) This is the first lowered car I've ever driven not to mention with a body-kit. Does this scrapping stuff go away with time (more experience) or is this something I have to get used to and should just buy a life-time supply of touch-up paint.
Ah, welcome to my world. I know I scrapped my front bumper twice. Nothing that you could see though. Since you have the same setup as me you have to remember that the front now sits close to 4" lower than stock. I try to avoid as many driveways as possible. Just looking at the angle of most driveways makes me cringe. It will be a combination of getting use to it and experience. This is not my first lowered car, but after a while I will get use to what I can and can't drive up.
Try this. I have a front chin spoller and only about 6 inches of ground clearence. I scrapped it two times and got really pissed. I finally went to the local Auto Trim and Design and bought some 3m corner molding "like an L shape" did the hole underside of the spoiller and its working well so far....

I only have about 3.5" of clearance, or about a soda can in the front and just less than a can on the sides. Might look into something like that though, get it to "slide" more instead of "scrap."

that is why i never got my Steeda splitter cleared. With it being satin, i can always touch it up with out taking it to the body shop every week.

darn, that thing looks awesome. Any more pics of the spoiler, I'm still not sure what spoiler I want. I need something that will cover the factory holes.
One more thing about the SS kit or double sided tape in general. One if my panels started to come loose at one corner (door filler piece) about a week after it was done. I just added more tape and have not had anymore problems. But is that something that could become a problem later on down the road. This is also what worries me about the ducktails that are only held on by double sided tape?
