Clear Front Markers/corners

I've seen some kits out there and was wondering what brand everyone recommends? MustangTuning.com sells a kit that has a clear lense with a black house. I think it would look really great on my black car. Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated!!

I got my smoked corners & bulbs from Stangmods.com. Matt (owner) is a great guy & his customer service is unbeatable. Tell him Bill sent you.

Here are a few pics of mine:

Those look great! They look exactly like the ones on MustangTuning. I can't believe that two lenses are 99.99. That's definetly a rip off, but it looks really nice.

I put these on my black Mustang last week:

I think they look AWESOME! You can find them all over eBay for ~$50+shipping. I added some silver coated bulbs. I liked it for 2 reasons, mainly the small chrome reflector in the otherwise black housing looks just like the headlamps, and 2) the amber reflector maintains any legal concerns (I noticed EVERY car on the road as some bit of amber on the front corner somewhere), yet cant be seen from the front.

I have some pics on the camera. I'll try to get them posted here this w/e.

Thumbs up

I had the exact same lights that Bill (05blackbeauty) has, plus a 35% tint over the top with the mirrored amber bulbs ( didn't like the way the bulbs could be seen). They looked great in the day time and at night when lit, however I had issues of people not seeing my turn signals in full sun because the interior of those lights are a near flat black and have very little reflectivity. So today I created a pair of bumper lights that combined the chrome housing from the stock lights, with the clear lens from the black housing, then put a 50% tint over that. The finished product is exactly what I wanted, plus it gave me something productive to do on a nice Saturday in the garage with the help of a buddy I first used a heat gun on low setting to slowly and carefully remove the lenses from all four lights, then removed any sealant left over from the factory housings. Then used a silicone sealant/adhesive to install the clear lenses over the factory chrome housings.

Here are a few comparison shots, plus a shot of the final outcome. In order from left to right: factory chrome housing with amber lens, aftermarket flat black housing with clear lens, factory chrome housing with clear lens added, aftermarket flat black with clear lens removed, factory chrome housing with amber lens removed, factory chrome housing with aftermarket clear lens, and finally on the car with 50% tint and the chrome amber bulbs (eBay for $25 for all four, while I'm sure a certain manufacturer makes a quality product, I refuse to pay $60 for 4 common bulbs I've been buying these chrome bulbs from various eBay vendors for the past 4 years or so and have never had any issues).

Your car looks great! I've decided to go with the SS grille and smoked "clear" corners. Where did you buy that emblem? If you have a link, thagt would be great!

Not a photochop. Car wasn't even lowered when that pic was taken. It has since been lowered and the alignment is perfect.

Here are how mine turned out. I got them off eBay for ~50 + s/h, along w/ stealth bulbs. I think they go with my theme: "modified factory" i.e. it looks like it should have come from the factory this way:
The product:

Before:

After:

One of each:

Hmmmm... I hated that design when it first came out but I'll have to admit after seeing them installed that isn't a bad mod!

I think it works especially well w/ a black car. I don't know if they would like quite as good on another color. However, the clear/all chrome one look real good an many colors. As for Grabber Orange, now they ought to just leave the amber lenses.

I bought mine from Jegs "back in the day". I think they were only $80 or so back then.

I may have to order a set for my little mod of the month. They look tastefull, and I don't want to give up a true reflector on the corner, Alloy is hard enough to see at dusk as it is.
