Chrome taillamp trim...

Here is my latest addition. I love the way this style trim is sculpted all the way around to look like it is original equipment. I also like how it compliments the faux gas cap and my license plate frame. It also bookends the chrome bar and coralled pony in the grille up front.

M U S T A N G lettering for the decklid and a chrome exhaust tip will be coming soon!

IMO it looks kind of tacky. But if you like it, that's all that matters!!

I've never been able to decide if I like this look. Are these plastic or metal? What brand/model?

I did get them because I thought they add a retro touch. They are molded and contoured in such a way that they look to me like the chrome around the 1965-66 Mustang taillamps. These are chrome plated plastic designed to fit the contours and recesses of the stock taillamps. If I get sick of them I can always take them off.

I remember long ago it was a fresh look to get away from chrome bezels and have taillamps either with black-out trim or just stand without trim at all. Look at all the taillamp treatments the Mustang has had for 43 years.

I can understand if some people think they are tacky and I think that is a matter of personal taste and appeal. However, I do not plan to chrome anything else on my car.

The actual rear end of the current Mustang looks mostly like the 1969-70 models while the roofline is 1965-66 2+2 inspired. Of course the front to me is a mix of the 1965 GT with the fender and headlamp reveal shape of the 1971-73 models but canted back 1965-69 style.

I sure think they are pretty sweet, I bought a set for my 'stang and as soon as this winter breaks I can get them intalled. Go to the link below and see post #23, it shows retro_pony's car with them installed and I thought it looked great IMO. I think it's definitely a neat retro look...I bought mine off ebay, if you do a search I'm sure one could find them easily. Lookin' good Watchdevil keep it up...

I like those better than the flat ones. Who makes them?
