Chin Spoiler & Stripes Install Pics

It was an arduous process, but it’s finally complete! What a difference. Psychologically, I’m convinced the spoiler and the stripes have added at least 30HP (at least in the minds of those thinking to challenge the new beast!). Anyway, I love it.. take a look. Anyone looking to get stripes, I HIGHLY recommend going to Rob @ Baltimore Street Mods… the guy is a graphics genius. Contour kit is perfectly cut. I also wanted a customized rocker panel stripe variation, so I whipped up an idea in Powerpoint, saved as a JPG, and sent it off to Rob late one night (9pm Pacific, midnight in Baltimore). To my surprise, I get an email reply about 30 minutes later from Rob saying “no problem… can do… as a matter fact, just completed your design in my system”! Man, talk about burning the midnight oil! Knowing this is a tough install for a rookie, I threw up the white flag and found a local graphics guy to do the install… another success story. This guy treated the car like his own. Not one crease or ruined piece, a real magician with the vinyl. Rob was also impressed with the install pics. Finally, a shout-out to Taco-Bill for his helpful insights (and how-to pics) for the chin spoiler install. OK, enough hot air.. enjoy.

Thanks for all the compliments. 10" stripes with 2" center gap... 1/2" pinstripes with 1/4" gap.

Looks awesome Doc! Now I'm REALLY having a hard time waiting for mine to arrive. I already have the BSM stripes ready to go. Glad to hear about the quality!

I think you should keep the rocker panel stripe running the entire side of the car, but that's just me.

totally agree. The first day of install, my installer finished everything but the pinstripes. I took pics with just the two main stripes. 2nd day, we finished the pins... and even though it only adds a 1/2" on each side, what a difference. Rob's (Baltimore Street Mods) pinstripe kit is really inexpensive ($9.95) and were alot easier to install than main stripes (per installer and per my my observations).

LOL. First day after installing chin spoiler I went to the store... just as I was pulling into the slot (with a parking curb of course) I remembered about the spoiler and jammed on the brakes... I must have looked like a student driver! You are right, spoiler drops clearance (by about 2"), so it won't clear much of anything anymore. NP.. I just back in now or stop about 3' front curbs.

Jason: keep this source in mind when you're ready to order. A link was posted just after I bought a raw-form CDC spoiler and had to make the rounds finding a reputable paint shop. Based on what I paid to get mine painted/clearcoated, AtlantaMustang.com pre-painted deal looks pretty good.
