Chin Spoiler Options

Well I just hit a curb with my CDC classic chin spoiler and it cracked about 6 different times and appears to be pretty much ruined. So now I either need to replace it with the same thing or maybe try something new. Im thinking of maybe trying the CDC Aggresive one or the Cervinis Type II instead this time. Can anyone tell me how much cutting and such is required to install the aggresive one? Can anyone post some pics of their car with the CDC Aggressive or Cervinis Type II chin spoilers? Also what do you guys think I should do, just replace the broken one with another CDC classic or change it up to something elese?

I love the aggressive one but it is a lot of cutting and no turning back. If I was to do it over again I would probably go with the heritage front with GT500 fogs.

Install:

Not really a plug as much as personal opinion - I like the splitter look on these cars, plus the added benefit is that it doesn't affect ground clearance - my car is lowered, and I still clear most parking lot curbs without issue. Also, since the Legend piece we have bolts on (using 12 stainless 1/4-20 bolts and nylock nuts with fender washers) with 6 factory holes and 6 more that are drilled after, if you remove it down the road, nobody is really any wiser that it was ever there.

I really like the Cervini type 3 splitter. I have never been a fan of chin spoilers on S197's.

I would avoid installing any chin spoilers for the sake of clearance issues. You're just going to end up cracking or scraping it on something.

Hadn't seen one of those before. Pretty cool for that real old school look.

I got mine from Nino motorsports. Get a spoiler of somekind. Our cars without a spoiler is just too plain looking. Be mindful of curbs and uneven surfaces and you should be ok. Now if you are lowered you may be better off with a splitter.

Thanks for the suggestions and pics so far guys! I am putting a chin spoiler of some kind back on, I just feel kind of strange rebuying the same part which I already had on the car (The CDC Classic, which i broke on a curb). Ive decided to either go with another CDC Classic or go for the CDC Aggressive. The only thing stopping me from the aggressive is the cutting involved. Can someone with the cdc aggressive elaborate on the cutting for me a little? Ive seent he instructions online and it doesnt seem TOO bad but Id like to hear some first hand experience. Also do you think this is something I could easily do by myself in my garage? Thanks!

I did mine in my garage and its really not that bad. I like the aggressive however if you decide to lower your stang you may scrape a little. I have a 2 inch drop on mine. Here are some pics

You must scrape leaves off the road with how low that front is!

I like the splitter, custom job?

I would like to see more pictures of the SHR Legend installed. Especially unpainted on Vista.

Is there an option to order one that doesn't need to be painted?

They come molded matte black, we just painted ours because we took it to SEMA. Otherwise, I would have kept it black, it's a lot easier to maintain that way. It was on our car for about 2 years that way, never gave me any trouble.

I cut mine in my garage. I used a die grinder and a small cutoff wheel to speed things up. The only issue I had was with prepping the 3M tape to the chin so I had to redo the tape. Other wise no issues. I will suggest test fitting it before tape though. I cut a little more out at the corners because I found the spoiler rubbed in this area and wanted to push out. I've lowered my car with the FRPP springs and the only issue I see if parking curbs and stops. It sits high enough that I don't scrape it on inclines or driveways.

Good luck
