Changing Stripes?

I am thinking about changing the stripes on my 05.

Haven't decided which ones to go with so I thought I would enlist the help of the site.

Here is a pic of the stripes that currently are on my car (came with the car). They are silver:

What I am looking at is changing them to GOLD like these (6 1/2" w/1" spacing):

Or this type for the rear (10" w/1" spacing):

What do you guys/gals think?
1. Keep current setup
2. Change to Gold 6 1/2" stripes
3. Change to Silver 10 "
4. Change to Gold 10"

All opinions are welcome.

Concur with the above 2 comments about the Gold stripes being too thin. If you haven't already found it, this thread will let you see various stripe widths and gaps. Click on the spreadsheet in post #1 and look at the comparison in post #2.

If you are going with vinyl I think 10" stripes with and 1.5 are a good combo

Here's a direct link to a couple of black ones with gold stripes. 1st has 10" and 2". 2nd has 10" stripes and I'm guessing also 2" gap

I would recommend 10" or 12" stripes, with about 1.5" spacing. Personally on a black car, I would prefer silver stripes, especially if you have them painted. Gold looks neat too, but IMO it's been done too many times before.

Someone asked if I was going to put black stripes on my tungsten mustang but then everyone would think I was a Raider's fan!

I like the 10.5" stripes with 1.5" gap BTW.

If I could have found a Maroon GT with parchment/beige (Redskins colors) interior I would have bought that one.

Steelers are my #2 team so black & gold

Looks like I will be going with the Baltimore Street Mods 10" Gold kit & use a 1 1/2 - 2" gap.

Anyone know if they give discounts to forum members?

I must admit that it was hard for me to do white stripes instead of silver......being that I root for the Cowboys!

Go with 10-3/4" to match the front ends gaps.
If your going with those thin stripes then take out the center gap
and just make it one stripe. Especially if you have a shaker.

I would stick with silver if it was mine. Or go white.

Maybe if you stop the stripe like you did. If you take it down further you
will see that the distance between the support brackets is 3/4" larger than that.

Vinyl graphics and decals can be easily removed. SImply heat the decal with a heat gun, hairdryer. Then using your fingernail, lift the edge of the decal and work across the surface of the decal. Overheating the decal will result in more difficult removal, as will not enough heat. Once the vinyl is removed, use PREPSOL or thinners to remove any glue residue
