Changed fender emblems to '65 style

I pretty much hate the GT emblems that come on our cars so I bought a pair of '65 GT emblems to replace them.

They are hollow. What I did was break off the 2 line-up tabs from the back and filled the hollow void with 5 minute epoxy. After that I applied 3M two sided tape. First, I had my boy hold them up to the car over the old holes in the fender and when they looked straight and where I wanted them. I outlined that area with tape so that when they were stuck to the car they were in just the right spot. Once they stick, they're stuck there.

did that about a year ago on my car. looks much beter imo. i also cut off the two pins before i took off the oem ones. after i got the stock ones off, i realized that you could probably leave the top one alone. that way you can use it to properly locate the alignment.

also, just an fyi to anyone interested, the 65 emblem is metal and the 66 is plastic.

you probably were not talking to me, and my car is an alloy not silver, but here is a semi-decent side pic of my car. you can kind of get the idea of how the emblem's placement looks.
