Cervini's, GT500, or Stock

What spoiler do think would look best? I like flare of Cervini's spoiler but I think it'll be too much for the stock body. The Gt500 is cool because it'll cover the holes and I can get it painted from Atlantamustang. If I stay stock, I'll save at least $400. I don't feel like dishing out $1,200 to get the holes filled, painted, and have a CDC put on. Although I could get some bolts with flat or domed heads, paint them black and put them in the holes

Please post some pics if you have a black GT with the a Cerv or GT500 installed. Here's some pics of my car. Thanks.

Unless your changing the hood the cervini's might be a little much. I'm considering that spoiler if i dont like the stocker painted black. I'd go with the Gt500 if your not doing many exterior mods

I have the Cervini's and love it. It covers the holes, so you don't have to worry about that. Some love it, some hate it so be prepared for that.

I loved the Cervinni duck tail until I saw it in person. I've seen about 6 so far and the fit has not been that great. Maybe it was a poor installation. The other thing I did not like is that they look very large and the edge is kind of thick.

Another option is to go with the CDC duck tail and the cervinni pedestal spoiler. This is reminiscent of the 69/70 mustangs. They had a built in duck tail spoiler and a pedestal spoiler.

I might be wrong but I thought that everyone had said that the GT 500 chin spoiler absolutely won't fit on the stock GT front bumper

I say the CDC ducktail. It shouldn't cost you more than $500 to get the holes filled, trunk repainted and ducktail installed. Granted that's not including the price of the ducktail itself but hey I think it's worth the money. Worst case scenario you can get the ducktail and the "hole delete kit" CDC sells. Then when you get some more cash go have the holes filled and trunk repainted.

Here's a link to pics of my CDC ducktail.

But if your deadset between the GT500 and Cervinis I'd vote for the Cervini's. I agree it's a little on the big side but still looks better than the GT500 one IMO.

After a long debate and a lot of thinking, I'm gonna get a CDC. I'm gonna experiment with my own hole delete kit. Going down to Lowes to buy some bolts that have a flat circular top. I'll prep and paint them and see how they turn out. It shouldn't look too bad especially on a black car. I'll post some pics on the project. Even the kit offered by CDC could work with a little paint to match.

I heard a lot of horror stories with the cervinis not fitting properly and the fact that's held on with double sided tape worries me. I heard some guys having problems with their paint rippling on other forums.

I'm just not digging the GT500 spoiler. It's not really a ducktail if you go by the 67-68 shelby's IMO. They look better with stripes and I don't plan on adding them.

Thanks for the input.

FYI you might want to get the third brake light replacement CDC sells just to stay legal. Not only that but if you get rearended the person can claim you didn't have a third brakelight. IMO it's worth the dough and really easy to install.

I can't remember where but I've seen some one just get plastic plugs and clear silicone to prevent water from getting in the trunk.

The plastic plugs looked similar to the one's I have plugging my front lic plate holes except they were a tad smaller.
