Cervinis Concept Hood

I'm getting a '08 GT Vert, and I think this Cervinis Concept Hood looks sharp.
Does it look just a good live as is does in the picture?

But I am having trouble justifying the money to myself. $480 for the hood, another $110 for the shipping. What can I expect to pay for for the installation and painting. I live in Northern VA in the Fairfax area. Are there any shops around here that someone would recommend?

And don't forget the additional $250 if you want the hood to be functional... The concept hood is kewl but its not cheap!

Here is a picture of my car with Cervini's Concept Hood, the shop was really impressed with the hood. They were ready for the worst when it arrived. AmericanMuscle.com offers free shipping to a business and this makes it slightly less than Cervini's. I had it shipped to the Body Shop. Can't really say how much it cost to prep and paint it was part of an accisent repair.

I don't know how you managed that. $480 for the hood, another $100 or so for the shipping, and then I sure at least several hundred for painting. You got one good deal. I would get one for that price. but I also have stripes, and to get them painted on, it would be at least another couple hundred dollars. so I'm looking at a minimum of $1K.

I hear Falls Church Auto Body is pretty darn good. Fixed a friends car from a major accident and it was incredible. Had to cut the entire right side off the vert and rebuild it.

The Concept hood is by far my favorite after market hood. It looks great on yours.
Right now I am seriously considering getting it and the GT/CS front and rear bumper covers.
My only concern is the California Dreaming hood required hood pins, does the Cervini's? The hood pins would not work with my car.

I called Cervini's and they dais it did not require hood pins. So I did not use any. After the finally adjustments were made I do not see any movement at least up to 100. Haven't been beyond that yet. Cervini's also indicated that hood struts were ok with the hood. I mentioned hood pins to the body shop and they really did not recommend them with a fiberglass hood. They said the holes could give extra oppurtunity for cracks to form in the gelcoat.

I should hopefully be picking mine up from the shop tomorrow after work. I had that hood and a Cervini chin spoiler put on, $700 for all the work. If I get it tomorrow I should have pictures up here not long after!

Yeah, the hood is a little off when you get up close but I knew it wasn't gonna be perfect with it being metallic paint. I'm very happy with the results of everything though. Looks great when the sun light hits it!
