50's retro in my mind did nothing wrong (except not get these sooner) There was never any doubt in my mind that this was a pre order and it would take a while. But now we have this ebay one turn up and I gotta say I might pick up one of the ebay grills as well. But I dont think I am going to cancel the 50's order just yet. If its too good to be true it usually is....with that said I might get both to see for my self if they are actually the same grill. I can always sell one on here I bet for close to what it cost. I would just hate to cancel my 50's order and then find out this ebay one is 50 bucks cheaper for a reason.

Darn good find tho....someone should email this ebay guy a link to this thread so he can see why he is so busy right now [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lol.gif[/img]


Ok I got the last one on the 119 bid (so ebay said) and sent a link to this thread to that guy. So he can see how many peoples lives he touched [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lol.gif[/img] If the 50's gril is not going to be in till the end of the month I have time to get this one and see if its a keeper. Might still cancel 50's.

 

I hope that with everyone ordering these ones off e-bay and then cancelling thier order with 50 resto they might get the ball rolling and try to get thier supplier to get these orders out. I dont give a .... how many back orders these are, any company that loses that much business right away is going to be pissed. So hopefully with this new one being released all the other people here will get thier order soon as well.

Supply at 11:30 am this morning and he informed me the grills should arrive in about a week and should start shipping right away !!! He also stated that they have lowered the price to $119.95. My total comes to $140.75 with shipping to N.J..

Heh thats so funny...I just got the exact same call...should have them by next week and then start shipping away. I knew that would happen to me...I should have followed my own advice and just waited. No matter....now I bet they are the exact same part and I will have 2. If my friend dont want it I will be selling it [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lol.gif[/img]

 

I am pretty confident they are the same part. And oddly enough, when I first contacted the ebay seller he told me that 50resto would be receiving theirs late next week ( this was before we even discussed the back order issues ). That in itself makes me VERY confident that they are the same part.

When I talked to Brian this morning he said nothing about their parts coming in and nothing about lowering the price. And they wanted more for shipping ( they are probably 100 miles from me ) than the ebay auction. So I am still coming out cheaper even if they did lower their price.

 

LOL I bet they got wind of the ebay thing and decided to match the price. The price shipped to me from both places is the exact same. I bet they are the same part as well! I never got a call from 50's ever during this whole event untill today. Too funny.....

Reguardless the saga may be ending next week for a lot of us!!

I got the same call from Brian at LMR.. I felt bad but what was I going to do? He also told me that the price had been reduced.

Makes me wonder what Street Scenes is going to do with their price and sorry quality...

Yeah but this time I think they got caught...I bet they were going to try to get them in asap from this compnay and be the first ones and sell the grils at a slightly higher price....then they got wind ebay guy got them first and was selling lower so they did the same. I bet they come next week like they say.....

Still waiting on this one from latemodelrestoration. However, if it is not on my doorstep by the end of next week and other places start showing as having them in stock I guess I will need to place my order elsewhere.

well I thought what the heck, I'll give them a call and what do you know.....all I am told is "They show to be arriving this month". Looks like it is time to order my grille somewhere else.

 

I got one from ebay also and emailed a cancellation to 50 resto. I hated to do it ,but you can only accept so many excuses before you look elsewhere. Everyone has a breaking point!

I got a call today too and I had already cancelled my order. When he said that they had lowered the price I thought I would go ahead and get it since i'm in no big hurry. I'll start working on the running pony template in the mean time.

 

Even though I already bought mine off Ebay I found another place that claims to have them in stock as well, and a lot less than 50resto.com
