Center cap help
I just got some replica bullit wheels and bought some pony tri-bar center caps to finish them off. My problem is that the the pony cap won't lock in.
The lock ring does not seem to be deep enough:
The outer diameter of the chrome ring on the pony caps is larger that the
caps that came with the wheels which fit flush to the wheels. I REALLY want the pony tri-bar caps, any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
Wayne

Might have to use the other tri-bar center cap, all black, like this... (2-1/2" diameter)
Or I have a set of the cobra center caps available if you are interested.

I bought an extra set of the ford centers, sanded the backs down flat. I roughed up the lexan fronts with a drywall knife and epoxied the ford centers over the ugly American Muscle /Mustang Tuning centers. Done. Now if the clear coat finish would have stayed on the wheels and if the 18x9s would keep a decent bead, I'd have been all set... Had to switch to something else, so I ended up with Enkeis.
