My car is going to be black so I think it would be harder to tell how thick the CDC is at the bottom...at least thats what I am hopeing.

Thanks for all the responses, unfortunatly I don't think I'm any closer to a decision. I like the CDC but the comment about eliminating the third brake light being a liability in a rear end accident was a good one, and I don't like the light in the window.
Does anyone have pics of the Street Scene Ducktail? A close up showing how it integrates with the deck lid and bumper would be great.

If I dont get snowed on I'll snap some closeups tommorow. I wanted to do it today but my beater car to a crap and had to take it to the dealer. Hang on there with your decision and I'll get the photos. I think I know what youre looking for.

Finally got to see both the CDC and SSE ducktails in person and I'm still at the same conclusion: CDC looks smoother from the back with the 3rd brake light in the window, but its kinda small from the side view look. The SSE is the perfect height and looks superb from the side, but the 3rd brake light hole completely ruins the look.

If SSE would simply make a ducktail w/o the hole, then I would draw the conclusion, SSE would greatly increase its ducktail sales over the CDC. But after contacting the SSE owner and he commented he has no intention of changing the design, I must therefore choose the CDC over the SSE. Wish we could have our cake and ice cream too! I took some pics if anyone; would ne1 care to see?

After a big debate I finally went with the Street Scene. I really like the look of the CDC where it gets rid of the 3rd brake light, however, I find the CDC spoiler to be too short and way to thick where it meets up with the bumper. Therefore I ordered the SS ducktail because it is taller and blends better with the body of the car (ie: bumper). I just wish it also covered the 3rd brake light.

where did you order the ducktail from..any links? thanks

When I tried to do this they would not gaurantee the work, because none of their products would stand behind their product line on that particular job :bang:

Well I got the CDC spoiler today. There's a little hitch in my plan. When I placed my order, I was mistakenly told by a sales rep that the emblem on the spoiler w/emblem is removable and no indent is left behind. Well, that is not the case. Luckily, when I placed my order I also emailed CDC about the spoiler, and they corrected the sales rep, and went ahead and sent me another spoiler w/o emblem. I'm tempted to start working on the spoiler now but I'll just wait for the other one to arrive. I did happen to place an order for the 3rd brake light kit on Dec 22 from a 3rd party, and they didn't place my order until Jan 09. If I get my spoiler first, I'm not waiting to install the 3rd brake light, but I better get it soon. I'll post pics before and after. Would anyone care for step-by-step pics? So excited!

---You see the mustang on the front cover of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Feb '06 mag has the CDC spoiler (p56). I got the blackout decklid already, and the partial blackout on the taillight lenses looks interesting.---Cool smooth look from the rear, that's why CDC spoiler rocks!
