Thumbs down

Installed the CDC Shaker last night. Took just under 3 hours start to finish and that was including searching for a dropped socket for 30 minutes and double and triple checking all measurements. All in all very easy install...could not be happier. Have to get it into the shop soon to have the hood painted and remove the decals.

Small tip, if you install yourself, you will notice I notched out the area in the front to get very easy access to the throttle body bolts so now I can remove and install it in 10 minutes.

Wheels will have to wait until next year to complete the look. Tell me what you think, good or bad. Thanks Scott.

Looks great This is one mod I plan on doing sometime soon. I just need to get some time off to do it. Has anyone been able to use this with an aftermarket intake yet? Is there anyway to use some sort of flexible tubing to route to a cold air intake preferably WMS?

I think it's beautiful. What did you use to cut the hood? I can see adding this to my car. Right now it's a 69 Boss tribute, but adding the Shaker and painting the top of the trunk lid black would convert it to a '70 Boss tribute real quick. Cool stuff man...

That is a sweet system. I wonder how much extra heat (that we don't need) that plastic cover adds to the engine compartment? Any comments on the egine bay being alot hotter (and tell the truth)! j/k

Looks Great!!

I was just wondering, is it possible to remove the plastic engine cover without having to cut it? It doesn't look bad at all, I just like the look of the engine better than that plastic.

Looks great and man, did you ever notch that puppy. I notched mine a little bit, but just enough that I can keep a nice finished edge by using some weather striping to clean up the edges. It sure does give the car a new look doesn't it

Thanks. I am going to intall some grommets in there to finish it. Sure makes it easy to take on and off though. It does feel like driving a new better car.

First those Mach 1 or Magnum 500 wheels with fat tires, THEN I'm going back under the hood.

That is such a good look, not to mention the boost performance wise. Win-win situation!

I did mine with a C&L CAI. I used a dremel to open things up around the inlet and the MAF harness.

I also had to rework the "plumbing" to fit the airdam around the filter. And I added some spacers to raise the scoop about 1/4"-3/8".
