I miss the emblem too, but to each his own, it looks like a quality piece, and the fit looks good too from the pictures I've seen of it. I wonder what plastic they are injecting it from though, as the light sandblast finish on the exterior might be an issue chalking in the sun if material selection was not correct.
Points to ponder from the manufacturing side of things
That, and maybe I should be re-thinking the price of our Honeycomb panel....

$150.00 for THAT?!?! It's just a piece of plastic with a few ribs on it. No detail to speak of. Your Honeycomb panel has character, unlike the flat bland look of the CDC version. Wait until I get my panel from ya before you up the price!!

Rest assured that if there is the demand in the market, I will do a "rail" panel that would equal the detail level on the honeycomb panel, and would incorporate the center emblem, as I think it belongs on the car.
That, and don't worry about the price at the moment. We are holding through the first 1,000 units, although that may come sooner than we ever hoped. After that is when it goes up in the air, due to factors outside of what the competition is up to. Personally, I'm happy to see them priced there, that is where we were told we should be, but I felt that our customers should feel good about their purchase with us. Maybe CDC has a better handle on labor costs than we do when estimating these things... I know we had no idea how long each part has to be handled / finished before shipment - let me tell you, it is not cheap when it says "Made in the USA" on the back....

Since the emblem is gone, may as well have done away with the keyhole too.
I like the rail panel the 67s had. I dont like this one. Since the deck lid isnt concave a rail panel may not look right anyway.
I can only guess where that is made. CDC doesnt give anything away, so it must be very inexpensive to manufacture.

Wonderful...(about the v6 rear dual exhaust lip)
Scott,
At this time that component is on hold. We are looking into different ways to manufacture that component. The reason it is on hold is cost to mold that component and then the cost that we would have to charge our customers. As soon as I have more information available I will defiantly let you know.
Thank you
