As far as the "pony indentation", YES it would be worth griping about IF CDC was offering this "Pre-Painted".
But since they are not, you could just have it filled proir to painting. A good bodyman/painter would not spend too much extra time doing so for you if this is what you desired.
Yes, the "stick-On" appearance is worth complaining about, but this "indentation" is easily fixable so stop all your whining !!

Hopefully we get a nice high-end ducktail by the time October rolls around (when I plan on buying my Stang). This way I can decide on getting the exterior sport apperance package or not. I'd prefer a ducktail!

Maybe I am missing something, but I did not see a provision for the third brake light on the CDC ducktail...

[/b][/quote]I really don't see a way around that unless someone makes a complete trunk replacement
I'll bet the parts are bolt on... I can't see them putting themselves in a position to be liable when they all start falling off at speed. it'd be simple to make those bolt on... it would just require drilling to install.
I do think it looks pretty cheap, though.... even if it's bolted on, it looks like it's 2 sided tape. I'm all for the whole new deck lid idea, but like everyone has been stating... the problem lies in the 2 pieces that would need to be bolted to the rear quarters...
That's why Saleen had to extend the back end of the car 4 inches.... because, unlike the 67-70, there aren't caps at the corners that can be removed and/or added.
So, if a new deck lid comes out, the back is still going to have to be extended to make it look right..... but, I think there will have to be a rear bumper cover that can exend out slightly to match the new body line, and look good.

more like the expensive route. there isn't a cutout for 3rd brake light because they want you to buy their $1500 glassback roof with integrated led 3rd brake light.

Just recieved this from CDC
Thank you for visiting Classic Design Concepts on line.
Attachment of the '05 Mustang rear Spoiler will use both mechanical and
Acrylic bonding tape.
We will supply a template for drilling the vehicle for the bolts.
Contact us with additional questions.
Jeff
So to summerize,
- installs with bolts and tape
- can be purchased for $300 with or without the Mustang emblem
- brake light covered or uncovered
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me

I answered my own question about the paint. I called their customer servic dept and they said the cutomer is responsilbe for the paint. But she did't know about the filling of the pony emblem hole. Anybody still know the answer for that one.
