CDC 2005 Mustang parts
I didn't see where this had already been posted and the search function wasn't working. Stangfriik posted it earlie in another thread, but I thought it deserved it's own.

Still can't order anything, (except the hood pins) but at least we have prices on some of their products and I have to say I was thrilled with the pricing of the ducktail. I really thought they would push the bondaries on what they could get for that spoiler since it was so popular.
Way to go, CDC.

Anyone have a pic of the guage pod?

I like the duck tail - are there any pics of it other than what is on the CDC site?

Does the spoiler have to be deleted in order to use the duck tail?

Stangnut, do you know if they will have to be painted aftermarket.

There are a LOT of pics on the SEMA pages.
There's a closeup of it on the CDC page for the sequential tail lights.
Notice, it looks like there's an indention in the spoiler where they put a pony emblem. If that's in there, forget MY order. I'll wait and get one from somewhere else.

It's easier if you buy the car with the spoiler delete option, but the stock spoiler can always be removed and the ducktail added. However, the holes from the stock spoiler will have to be filled and painted, or plugged like we used to do on the 94-04's.

Duck tail style spoiler. Designed and Engineered by CDC. This blow molded ABS spoiler is a three piece spoiler. To simplify the installation process, order your Mustang with the Spoiler DELETE option. From CDC website.

Yeah, that's my understanding. The ducktail must not cover the drill holes from the original spoiler.

Yes. I'm not with CDC or anything, but that's the way most aftermarket parts like this are.

The running pony logo right above the innermost breaklight, it is layed into the ducktail itself and not stuck ontop of it. Better I guess if you actually want that pony there but I think it looks dumb.

EDIT: upon second examination I dont think it is indented I believe it is caused by a reflection and shadow.

Oh I got ya. Ya'll are talking abotu the pony on the tail itself. I thought that you were talking about the position of the pony.

It seems to show up better in the pic on their website even though that was a direct link to the page.
See if this is any better. It's most noticable at the top of the tri-bar. See the shadow? The emblem is embeded(sp?) into the spolier.
Also look around the tail. I don't think it would have a reflection like that above AND below unless it was sunk into the spoiler. And the "reflection" especially above the tail, goes too far away from the tail itself.
HOPEFULLY, I'm wrong.

Actually, I emailed them earlier and they said that all parts will be primed and that we will have to take care of the painting

Wow! I never thought I'd consider spoiler delete, because I personally like the spoiler, but for that I'd have to reconsider! That is awesome. I've liked it since I first saw it, but I too, thought they would be way too expensive.

For the first time in a long 3 weeks I'm glad my order hasn't been pulled. I LOVE it! I just called and left my salesman a message asking him to change mine to the spoiler delete. Hopefully he can get it done. That ducktail is beautiful, and me... I like the tri-bar emblem molded in. It makes it look more like it's an OEM spoiler rather than aftermarket!

" I was blind, but now I see," Stangnut. That kind of stinks. Doyou think that there's anyway to get to leave that off. That ducktail was the reason called the dealership and deleted the spoiler. I didn't care how much it costed at the time. But now I'm kind of with you, Idon't if deal with that indention

Any ideas on how it's installed? I'm assuming double-sided 3M? I'm assuming that based on the quarter extensions are most likely not bolt-ons, but do you think that there'd be any problems holding up over 80mph?

If your order is "uscheduled/clean" then it will be no problem. Don't let them tell you any different.

Yeah that's been my question with all these aftermarket parts. I am ordering side window louvers from 3dcarbon and they use 3m toofrom what I read. I don't want to be breaking all kind of speed limits flying down the highway and all my aftermarket parts come flying off.
