CDC Grill

I was in an accident on new year's eve, which resulted in me needing a new front facia. So I took that opportunity to swap in a GT facia. And to go along with it, I decided to buy CDC's Billet Replacement Grille. Any others with this grill have any tips/suggestions for installing it? It seems pretty straight forward.

Great, thanks. The instructions mentioned blacking out anything shiny behind the grill, so it doesn't shine through. In your opinion, is it really necessary?

I know you weren't talking to me, but I'd say yes. Tape it off and paint the red parts black that are behind the grille. Would give it a much more finished look. If/when I swap my grille, I'll do the same.

HTH.

Yes I painted any areas that I thought would show through flat black. The 9 bar grille opens the front up quite alot and you will see areas behind the grille when looking straight on. Good news is that is flows so much more air than the stocker and my car runs 10 degrees cooler in the summer time.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot...Did you just use simple spray paint? I can't really look since I don't have my car back yet, but is there anything I should make sure *not* to get paint on? I'm sure I'm probably making this sound a lot more difficult than it really is.

I just used a rattle can of flat black paint and made sure not to get overspray on anything. Pretty easy and you will what to paint with the grille out. Good luck.
