And yes.... I believe the SS ducktail is a bit taller.... and it does seem as if the SS ducktail does have a different shape than the CDC... both are awesome ducktails nevertheless

Both look good, but to be honest, the Street Scene one reminds me of a mid-70"s Trans AM, whereas the CDC one looks more like a 69-70 Fastback or 67-68 Shelby. Really boils down to how aggressive you want it to be. From a front three quarter angle, the CDC one seems to be very subtle. I will order one of these two for my GT, if it ever gets built! :bang:

I wish I had seen the Street Scene tail before I ordered my Xenon, I might have changed my mind. Of course one of the selling points on the Xenon is it covers the factory holes from the original spoiler. If my car had a spolier delete then I would've went with the Street Scene tail for sure.

Thanks Mike

The main difference I can see is the SSE has the cutout for the third brake light, where the CDC doesn't. The CDC might have be a little more vertical though. It is tought to tell in the pics.

Yes it is very hard to tell from a single pic at different angles no less,, I would be interested to see Acadians at different angles.
Rich's from the side and front looks very low to me. I would order the SS tomorrow but I dont like the third brakelight spoiling the clean retro look of the CDC

Have you seen a 69 Sportsroof in recent memory? I actually owned one.... The CDC, although it does look good, it looks puny alone or compared to the SS version and I can voice fact that the CDC is nowhere near visually comparable to that of a stock 69 Sportsroof. Those things were large enough without switching the trunk and end caps out for the Shelby "High" variant.

With all this stated, I like the SS much more over anything else.

I think the SS looks much more integrated than the other. When I am finally able to order my GT, I will definitely go with the spoiler delete in anticipation of installing the SS ducktail.

Here's another shot of mine. I think it comes down to a personal choice and both are quality products.

The SSE ducktail is a bit taler, and it looks like it flares straight up more, while the CDC goes out closer to a 45 degree angle. But the design is very similar. It basically comes down to whether or not you want the third brake light.

You know, to be honest, I ahven't seen a 69-70 fastback in quite a while. My comment was based on a couple Johnny Lighting Boss 302 die casts sitting next to my monitor. As I said before, they both look good. I think the kicker for me will be that you can order the CDC prepainted, which will simplify the installation. Since I have a convertible ordered, it will give me a real good excuse to order the light bar as well.

The other advantage is that there is already a LeMans stripe kit to fit the CDC Ducktail.

I dont have any pics of my old '69 sitting around anywhere but the SS looks very much like it IMO. If I were to buy a Duck Tail instead of doing the more Mach 1 look, black out stock spoiler, rear window louvers and black out hood, it would be the SS.

The 3rd brake light isn't very retro, I wish SS would make 1 with, and 1 without, heck, I would even settle for a plug for the cutout!!!

David, you need a third brake light. If not by law, you still want it because the chances of you getting slammed from behind by someone not paying attention is greatly increased. So, if you get the CDC ducktail, you are going to have to get their third brake light. Now even though it's hidden when not in use, it's still LED. And you can't get any more un-retro than that. You can't have everything about this car be "retro". Afterall, the earlier Mustangs didn't have the little warning lights on the sides of the rear bumper either. For me, if I have to have a third brake light, I want it to at least be the stock one. LED's don't belong on Mustangs IMO. Just my 2 cents.

I ultimately went with CDC because of the subtle integrated look of the ducktail, and also because of the third brake light. I love the lightbar from CDC because it allows the back end to be more retro. By placing the light in the top of the back window, it fuctions just as it should as a safety measure, but also allows the space given to the current 3rd brake light position to be as it was in the old days. I also like the CDC ducktail because it enhances the existing lines of the car in a subtle and sophisticated manner.

I ordered it well before I got my stang. . . just a few weeks with my fingers crossed!
