Which one did you order? CDC or Street Scene? With or w/o the emblem? With or w/o the light?

Got a hold of CDC today. They're working on the design of an accessory 3rd brake light, and the ducktail will also be avail IN COLOR!!!

The COLOR option is a darn good idea. I mean spending $200 or so then having to paint it kind of stinks. I assume that the window led will be an additional charge, but it would be nice if it came with the spoiler, doubtful.

That SUX!!!! Is that the only way they're offering the third barke light? Not integrated or a cutout like the Street Scene version?
If so, COUNT ME OUT!!
IMO, that would look terrible. CDC, what were you thinking?
I'll go with the Street Scene version.

I didn't think that's the way it sounded when I corresponded with CDC, but I could be wrong. Here is the thread from Kim at CDC. I will let you know if/when I get pics:

-----
"Sean,

Thank you for your interest in CDC!

There will be an additional package offered for the third brake light. The spoiler will be ready to ship by the 21st of March. If you would like to be added to our pre order list let me know and I will do so. We will keep your information on file and update you as we go along. Any questions please let me know.

Thank you
Kim - Classic Design Concepts"
-----
"Do you know what it's going to look like yet? Just wondering if it's going to have the standard red rectangle or if you guys have come up with an alternative."
-----
"I am working on getting picture together. As soon as I have them I will email them to you."

If the ducktail comes painted, you can't beat that. I'm interested in price though. Is this a simple self install, or is it recommended to take it to a body shop????

Thanks, Moze. I was really set on getting the CDC one so I hope it is part of the spoiler. Unfortunately it sounds like no matter where the light it is, there's going to be an extra charge for something that should have been included in the first place.
OK. So I'm a pessimist. Sue me.
Looking forward to those pics.

CDC says the painted version is $100 more. It's worth it if you are going to install it yourself. It's actually probably worth it either way.

FYI - CDC used tape and bolts. Street Scene used tape only.

I'll add my own bolts just to keep from having to put the third brake light in the rear window.

LMAO AT DUCKBILL its DUCKTAIL NUMB NUTS
Ducktail/duckbill, easy mistake to make...leaving your caps lock on, unforgivable. :nono:

To the topic: I think CDC has the right idea with regard to the style and shape of the ducktale/tail/bill spoiler and I am sure they, or someone else, will come up with workable solutions for the 3rd brakelite/light issue.
[/b][/quote]

MRT is selling their ducktail with and without the cutout for the third brakelight I believe... I emailed them about the 3rd brake light they had mounted ont he window of the interceptor and this is what they wrote:

"Yes we do plan on selling the third brake light set for the 2005
mustang.
We are still in the process of having them made and ready to sell, and
unfortunately we don't have a arrival date or price on them yet. Thank
you.

Thank you and please let us know if there is anything else we can do
for
you.

MRT Sales Team"

This is what it looks like:

That's the CDC spoiler. They are talking about the seperate light, not a cutout.
