I think these functional hoods are pretty much over-rated. Hood scoops were made for cars with carbs and with cold air induction kits drawing their air from the front side of the car I think it's pretty much a waste of time and I doubt that there is any dyno proof that shows any horsepower gain from the shaker system or a functional hood system for the GT. JMO and I could be wrong.

I think a few people on this site would argue that with you as I have read many a claim with funtional hoods and scoops, and the heat issue is also a gain with a breathable hood of some sort
