CDC Classic Chin Spoiler: Bolted?

Hello,
I will be getting the CDC Classic Chin Spoiler soon and I have been reading various comments regarding installation materials and the use of 3M tape. I realize this piece uses the end factory bolts, but apperently it uses tape in the middle to hold things up? Can this unit be bolted all the way across as I don't care for tape solutions and being out here in Southern California, the summer heat may very well loosen that tape. My mother had a 95 Thunderbird and that's exactly what happened over time, the tape feel apart on her Zenon kit. She had to get practially every piece bolted in some fashion to make it stay.

I'm patiently waiting for the body shop to finish the Fang Mystery 7 hood I purchased. Don't you just hate it when your car is away. Oh, I can see it now, the stomach ulcers forming. Hehehe.

Hey fellow Socal stanger! I didn't even use the 3M tape on my chin spoiler.I've had my CDC Classic chin spoiler for 6+months now without any problems. You'll see once you get it that the four factory screws are more than enough to hold it in place. The 3M is just an extra precaution. No need to drill uncessary holes in your front bumper.

I wouldn't worry about the tape melting or being dameged by the heat, I had my car with the CDC classic spoiler on in 100+ deg. F heat for almost a month 2 summers ago and nothing happened (and it's a black car, mind you).
Like Leo said, I think the 2 sets of screws are enough to hold it in place, but just as a precaution I'd still use the tape if I were you.

There are also two push pins (one on each side) that also helps secure it

It fits real snug. I wouldnt even use the tape in the middle. If you should hit something it allows it to give. I didnt use tape on mine, had it on over a year.
If you were to bolt it and hit something, good chance it will break.
