CDC Classic Chin painted, striped and insalled!! Pics!!

I had been thinking of this mod ever since I got my car. My only dilemma was how bad would it get chipped. Well, I bit the bullet a few weeks ago, and drove down to Mustangtuning.com. Finally got a quick moment before I put it away, to get some pics. My dealer's outside body shop they use did a fantastic job on the spoiler. The stripes are painted and line up perfectly. I now drive very carefully and give myself a good distance between my car and the one infront. Plus, that Blue Painter's Tape is my new best friend. Hope you all like the pics. The last one was from the show I took it too on Sunday. I love the look of my car now.

Hey everyone, thanks a bunch for the compliments. Hey Lee, hows it going man?! All of us have missed you at the shows. How's the little one doing? That piping is so hot, I love it. Thanks again for the heads up.

Dante, I really don't know how much yet. I work at a Ford dealership (hence my info in my sig), and I sent it over to the outside shop we use. It took a while, and I got it back last Thursday, and haven't heard from him on how much it will cost. Sorry I can't give a better answer.

05,
Quick off-topic question.
I noticed in one of your thumbnails that you're running the Airaid system, and no tune. What is your seat-of-the-pants opinion of that setup. I'm interested for my '06 GT and my son's '06 V6.
Thanks, and sweet Stang you've got there.

Hey 1953, hows it going? Thanks for the compliment on my chin spoiler. About my Airaid system. I personally like the setup of the Airaid. When I installed it, I didn't drive it until the next day (it was put in around 1 am, lol). I did start it up when I was finished, and no check engine light! While it isn't like a car with a tune, it does feel quicker than the stock airbox, I can tell you that. IMO passing power in 4th gear (and 5th too), is better. When I am in 4th, and doing 60, it gets to 80 real quick. Plus, 1st & 2nd gear feels punchier too.

Now I won't lie. While I like the Airaid as it is (its great for someone who doesn't want to flash the computer right away, but get good proven gains in power and still be able to flash the CPU later, without having to purchase a new setup), I am getting a tune from Doug over the winter, after having driven a friends car, who has the Airaid, and also has 91 Torque, Race, and Performance tunes. What a difference. Throttle lag....GONE!! Doug is the man!! I recommend this setup for anyone who doesn't want to flash their computers right away, but still get some HP gains.

Thanks, 05.
Good info. No matter which CAI I end up with I'm sure I'll do the tune as well. Now it's just a matter of which tuner... and I'm leaning towards the SCT system.

Your heading in the right direction there friend. Then just give Doug down @ Bamachips a ring, and he can set you up with an SCT XCal II with tunes specifically for the Airaid system. So say, 6 months after you get the Airaid, you want a tune, give him a call, and a in a few weeks or so, you have your tuner, without having to buy an all new CAI.

Looks great Jeff. Excellent choices. My chin spoiler and stripes will be going on soon, same color scheme too, only the opposite, white car blue stripes.

To be totally honest William, I really can't hear it over the Borlas that I have on my car, LOL!
