Talking Carroll Shelby Wheels - CS67's - 18's Update

Just called Carrol Shelby Wheels and heres the scoop on the CS67's in 18x8, 18x9.5 - Going to be released in another 60-90 days. So its either wait or get them in 20x9, 20x10's - wonder how much the ride quality is goinig to suffer with a one inch drop with them?

Looks like we're all going to have to wait on them guys & gals.

Hey Rene, I too called them up, but Dan or Don, (I forget his name) told me that they just got in their prototype, but didn't have a specific time frame. I just asked if they would be available by March, and he said they should be. I also told them that their site is still down. Anyhow, if this is true, and they will be out soon, I think I can finally put my search for wheels aside, and go with CS67's 18X8.5! Thanks for the info.

I have had two different GT's,an 06' and my 07'.I have run 17"-20"( three different sets)on my 06' and I run 18x8.5's on my 07'.I really don't think your ride will suffer that much running 20's.I can't tell the difference between the 18"s or the 20"s.The ride quality will depend on your suspension or mods you apply. You will definately see better handling w/20"s but road feedback(thump and bump) will increase. If you can wait for the 20's invest in some quality tires that have some advanced side wall technology, every little bit helps. Pat

20"s with a 1" drop...

Talking Shelby CS67's ....

I'll wait then, I can do all the interior upgrades in the mean time. Besides probably won't have the cash ready til then. I've narrowed my wheels section to replica GT500 wheels from Mustang Tuning (Amercian Muscle) and the Carroll Shelby CS67's. I love the fact that the CS67's resemble the original wheels on the GT500 from the 60's. I already removed the rear spoiler, rear faux gas cap and emblems from my GT. The Shelby GT500 front fascia, hood, rear bumper and spoiler should be ready to go on next week. So am preparing for the installs. I just can't wait to see it come together.

Might as well throw in a really good alarm and a few surveilance cameras before the wheels go on.

Rene, that's the exact same reason why I have waited patiently for these to come out. I got the center fog grill, and rear ducktail, plus the stripes. I think these wheels would really make the car look so much more retro.
