carbon fiber hood and trunk lids
i was on ebay i came across a carbon fiber trunk lid and 2 hoods. I personally like the idea of a carbon fiber hood and trunk lid just because it would make my car look a little different from the rest of the 05s that i have seen lately.
What do you all think of carbon fiber parts on mustangs? I asked my friends what they thought and they said it would make my car look like an import, but i want to hear some other constuctive ideas and thoughts. Heres the link to the site http://www.seibon.com/

i fogot to add there are doors also

it wouldn't look terribly out of place on a black car, and it's not like you can't paint over carbon fiber. right? it doesn't specify how much weight is saved though, but if the price were right and the weight was low enough i'd go for it

I could MAYBE dig the hood. A very faint chance though. I vote for the non-carbon look normally though.

Installing the hood was incredibly easy and takes less than a hour. Basically you first have to remove some of the lining from the stock hood so that you can unplug the tube for the washer fluid, then unscrew the bar on the front of the hood that goes into the latch, then there's only 4 screws that hold the hood in. When putting on the new hood, screw in the 4 screws that came with it and screw the bar that you took off the stock one for the latch.
My hood was very good quality and was made by VIS Racing. I purchased it from www.grounddynamics.com. Seibon is also a good company. My friend has one of their hoods on his 350z.
Different always means better right?
IMO
If you're going to leave the CF exposed to look different, get an import. I would always gett he CF painted. You don't see CF race cars unpainted now do you?

different doesnt ALWAYS mean better, but i think it would make the car look unique. Just out of curiousity, why do people tend to associate exposed carbon fiber parts with imports? Also TehSLeeper, i do see your point though.
