Can you recommend a good car cover?

I am in need of a good car cover and am interested to see if anyone has found a particularly good one. Will be used outside mainly.

Wait a little while longer if you can... we'll have some nice ones, complete with embroidery work done in color on them soon

Well, I didn't like the way the embroidery came out, so I had them re-do the file, and haven't heard back from them - it's been a week or so, maybe I should give them a buzz and see what's up...

At any rate, shouldn't be long - let's define soon as by end of June, given the current show schedule and backlog we've got going on here.

Get a car capsule - it's simply the best. I believe they make an outdoor model also. I have one that I use in my garage and it's fantastic! Everyone who comes over and sees it absolutely loves it.

I'm looking for something I can put on and take off day to day. Good product for longer term storage though.

I've been using the Ford one since the first of the year, outdoors. Holding up well & doesn't scratch the finish.I got mine new off ebay for about 100.00.

On some of the car covers available, there is no provision for the stock antenna and you have to take the antenna off before you put the cover on...what a PITA!

I have a solution for just such a scenario, a shorty antenna. Here is a link

I hope this helps.

That looks awesome, but if you are in an urban neighborhood, that is just screaming for someone to mess with it.

I have the Wolf Noah car cover custom fit for 05+ mustangs. Great fit, leaves only maybe 6 inches of tire exposed. Got it on ebay, kind of expensive but it offers great dust protection and for a black car, that is a must.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I ended up ordering one from California Car Cover for $200. It's made out of their Stormweave material and provides good outdoor protection along with 4 layers for some additional cushion protection:

It's more than I wanted to spend, but it will protect my car from not only the weather, but also the small mishaps that happen when you have kids potentially playing near the car. Most car covers come with a gromet that you can install on the cover allowing the antenna to protrude. Or you can just take it off. Thanks for the suggestion on the shortie antenna though.
