Looks to me like he's hit it on a few things and caused the spoiler to flex and chip/crack the paint. Look at the very front tip of the after picture, its seen abuse, curbs/ parking bump stops etc in my opinion.

Wow, 500! I payed 130 for the body shop to paint and install my chin spoiler and ducktail. They also guaranteed it for life.

Bad prep all the way. Even with the minor dings in it, it should not peel like that

Im in Northern Virgina, where did you get yours painted at. I'm willing to drive up to MD if it means getting the job done right.

I've hit quite a few parking stones and dips in the road but I would not have thought that would cause my paint to flake off in the place that it is. Maybe peeling was caused by the flex agent, I'm not sure. But its obvious that the primer has not peeled off whatsoever -- only the paint.

mine's going back into the paintshop, had a minor incident with a curb during chrismas shopping, so it needs to be re-painted, re-striped, and reattached. hopefully be done by next week.

How much is that going to run you? Interested because I have a few scratches on mine from tall driveways.

SteeltownStangs pics really show how ugly the factory grill is. I was going to keep mine..now I'm thinking about changing it. Has anyone had their factory grill painted gloss black?

My chin spoiler will be here on Monday. I'm going to mock it up to help decide whether to paint it or not. I wish the grill wasn't so cheap looking.

SteelTown, looks AWESOME!!! Just a tip when your out in your car and you go into a store....back into all spots that have the concrete barrier infront. Your chin spoiler will thank you for this.

SteelTown...just a suggestion...pull the lower grill and spray with a high gloss black to match the bumper cover, it will really pull the front end together. Less of a chopped up look. I have a lower grill available if you need one, as I installed the aggressive CDC, which eliminates that lower grill. A second option is to get some diamond aluminum sheets, cut in the shape of the opening, leaving 1-2inches overlap, trial fit (make small cuts and fold over and around the grill opening from up and under the bumper cover) spray black (satin or gloss, both sides), use windshield adhesive to install (around the opening lip) and crimp the over-lap down as well. Sounds a bit complicated as I write this, but only takes about 30-40 minutes. The sheets can be purchased at most speed shops or even a Home Depot type store (aluminum gutter guards). I've done this to a couple of cars and my own 93 GT (fog light openings) and looks great
Sorry to see Coach Cower step down...hope the new coach keeps the Steelers at the top of their division. Always a great game/team to watch. Good luck.

Thanks Paul. I appreciate the advise. I'm not a big fan of the flat black grill either . Yeah, Not too happy about the Cowher stepping down. I'm sure the Rooneys will fill the position with another good coach. They've definitely have had success in that department- two coaches in the last 38 years. They'll be back

well I got mine back, all fixed!

I was trying to beat a woman to a parking spot the day before christmas eve and I total forgot about the blower under the hood and pulled up too far, wasn't pretty.

my bill came to $80 for repainting, re striping (vinyl) and remounting

That's a pretty good deal. It's always good to know a painter
