Here's the Ebay Web Link

Will be interesting to see what the final sales price will be. I already have one, so no bidding from me.

Why does the ad say the application is for 2005 4.0 Mustangs? Does this not fit the GT? I am a bit skeptical about a $189 hood, even if from RK Sport. Anyone have a ballpark idea of how much to paint and install? I guess i could go with the primer chop-shop look...haha. jk.

Whoa guys! I called Mo at RKSport, and he say's that these hoods on Ebay are not perfect. One washer squirter is further forward than the other! A great buy for some, but I'll pay more, thank you. Just FYI!

A foot forward? 1/32"? What?
It doesn't mention that on the eBay listing. Says it's a cancelled customer order.
Or are you just trying to drive others away from bidding?

No, but an interesting idea. Honestly, I can't remember. It was either 1/4 or 1/2 inch, not a foot. I talked to Mo, who was very nice, and had to put me on hold awhile to find out himself. It turned out to be a secondary issue for me, as he told me that the company that I already ordered my RKSport Ca. Dream hood from doesn't even do business with them at all! I called because I was thinking of cancelling my order with the other place. Depending on how quickly they (the ones I ordered from, not RKS) refund my money, they are either a scam, a poorly run business, or a simple misunderstanding. At the moment, I am really ticked and awaiting my refund. Expect a rant with flaming if it doesn't go well. Mo says you can still get free shipping until close of business Friday on that hood, delivered to a business. The auction is probably over by now, anyway, but they should have revealed the defect, and Mo agreed so.

GDI!

It did not say anything about a defect and I freaking bid! I wanted to replace the crap **** GTR Ram Air hood If this turns out to be true (with defects) I will not be happy.

Q&A from their lisitng:

Q: Is this hood already painted or is it damaged in any way?
A: As with most of our hoods, this hood comes unpainted with a clear "gelcote" and appears "grey prime" in color. This hood is not damaged, was a customer cancellation and is in "new" condition. Thank you for your inquiry and for shopping RKSport!

Hum, ebay shows it sold for $275.00

Granted any defect should have been noted.

But, if that was the only problem with the hood, a body shop could patch and drill another hole I would imagine.

yeah... I upped the bid to $225 with 40 seconds to go, then I was outbid with 250... which was my bakup, so as I was franticly trying to change that to 265, the auction closed at 275.... now there were two hoods, were they both misaligned with the squirter?
Anyways.... I would have paid $300 for it, regardless. When I get one, I'm going to fill the channels, or seems, or whatever they are that makes is look like a separate piece over each scoop that goes the length of the hood, with resin so that it looks smooth... like 1 piece. So... that hole wouldn't be hard to patch and relocate the squirter. Helluva deal for the $500 saved in my opinion.

did you win the auction?.. or did you even bid on it?

If you did win... I wouldn't sweat it. it's fiber glass. for the money that you saved, it still probably won't cost you another hundred bucks to have the body shop that's gonna paint it relocate the jet.

Hey guys, I'm just reading this post now. I was one of the successful bidders. I was on my way to the 26th International Mustang Meet in Helena, MT on the 31st and raced into my overnight stop in Spokane, WA, hopped onto the computer in the business center at the hotel and placed my one and only bid with 6 seconds to go on the auction (Sorry Clint!). I just picked up the hood at my CMRA in WA yesterday and took it to the body shop.
I'll be calling call them tomorrow to have them check those washer nozzle locations!!

EDIT: The nozzle locations are different by about 3/8". Now to determine which one is wrong...
