Keep in mind that I'm not very good at this but I was wondering how a C Stripe from a 68 GT would look on an 05. Although I think it needs to be tilted forward slightly it shows the idea anyway. Not sure if I like it or not

Does not look so good to me, hopefully if an aftermarket company makes them they can pull it off.

The idea isn't bad. A little better photoshop (no offense, just something more real-looking) might help give a little better idea. I have a 1:18th scale die cast of a '68 in the exact colors you posted sitting right here on my desk. And I think it could end up looking good on an '05. Good idea.

I agree, if you look at the small picture it's not bad but when you enlarge it you can see I'm no artist :nono:

Maybe someone that is better at it could make it more realistic. All I did was take a picture of a 68 with the c stripe outline the stripe and paste it on th 05. It definately needs work but I think it might be a good idea.

Maybe just pinstripe the same color as the interior would look good.

The pciture (too small) makes it hard to tell how well the stripe "fits." However, it seems to me that the top stripe is at the wrong angle to the crease seperating the sides from the hood & trunk. I'm sure there is a term for this crease; but it's where I think most people put a pin stripe. The top of the C stripe should follow that angle.

Well, I just saw one that had the striping on it. It was black with a red "C" stripe. I didn't like it at all. I will try to post a photo of it when I get one tomorrow. There were also two GT's on the same lot with Boss "like" stripes. This dealership in Toronto seems to stripe up a lot of their cars. Take a look at the one I did get a photo of.....

(sorry for the crappy pics, they were taken with a phone)

White stripes on a black car stand out very bold. Try a gold c-stripe or put the white on a different color like sonic blue or torch red. I'd still like to see someone try putting on stripes like either of the Boss302 year's. That's what I'd do if I had an '05. B)

I think a C-stripe would look good.

Here are a couple of photos of cars I saw with the C stripes. The white one doesn't look too bad at all.

I like the white with black, would rather the stripe go the other way though.

I know what you mean. But they're copying the '69 Boss 302 stripe and I love it! The only stripe I'd like better would be a '70 Boss 302-style stripe! :worship:

EDIT: Hey tmk: On the pic of the white GT with the reverse C-stripe, I see a Redfire '05 next to it that appears to have a '70 Boss 302-style stripe on it. Any chance you could snap a pic of it or already have one?

I took those pics at a dealership in Toronto.

I thought I took a picture of the 'stang with the boss stripes, but I must have missed it. I will try to post a picture when I get a chance.
