If you go to the Tire Rack website you can look up the weight of the Ford 17x8 Bullitt style stock wheel as well as the stock 235/55 Pirelli tires. IIRC they list 22 lbs for the wheel and 28 lbs for the tire.

would 26 lbs for a 18" rim be considered heavy?

No. I wouldn't think so.

Yeah, I'd consider that relatively heavy for an 18" wheel, especially considering the stock 18x8.5" wheel weighs 25 lbs. I'd personally shoot for closer to 20 lbs, but at that weight, you're looking at a limited selection and likely a rather big price tag. I care less about how a wheel looks than about how strong and light it is, for many other people the appearance of the wheel plays a much larger factor. Nothing wrong with either set of priorities, just different strokes for different folks.

I weighed my factory 18 x 8.5" fan blades with the factory BFG's and they are 54 lbs per wheel/tire. I also have a set of 17 x 8" charcoal bullitt wheels with factory Pirellis up front and BFG drag radials on back and the 17's with the Pirellis are 48 lbs per wheel/tire.

The factory 17's with tire are just under 50lbs.

Just for reference, the SVT GT500's with tire are right around 60lbs.
