BSM stripes, partial install

Just wanted to get an idea of what everyone thought of my current vinyl project. So far, I've got a piece of black vinyl to black out the lower edge of the center of the stock air dam below the lower grill, and the hood and roof of the BSM gloss back 10" kit. I am still debating putting on the bumper piece, because I'd like to have a little something different, but from the pics, it looks like I should go ahead and do the bumper.

I also have some tinted covers on the fog lights, and static cling tint that I cut out from a roll I got from PepBoys for the front turn signals and side marker lights.

It seems to me the Pony is a little too apparant, and it looks a little like a V6. I like the looks of the lower blackout strip below the lower grill, it gives it a little more of an aggressive look without having to get a chin spoiler, since my driveway would never allow that.

Anyway, let me know what you all think.

Personally I think that you should do the front bumper (because I also have a Mineral Grey and am not) I also think your's would look better without the foglight tint. JMO~

Looks good, Brad!

How far down did you stripe on the rear? If you stopped at the top decklid, it's okay to stop at the hood. But, any further down, just do the whole thing.

For me, it was bumper to bumper (I mean spoiler ).

Thanks for the input. Right now, I just have the roof and hood done. I'm going to go with the 3dcarbon one piece GT 500 style ducktail, so until then, I'm going to hold off on the rear deck and bumper. Also give me time to figure out if I'm going to do the rear bumper or not. I really liked just the hood stripes on it. It looked pretty sharp. Once I did the roof, it started looking like it was incomplete. I'll probably end up going tip to tip before it's over with.

The fog light tint is only temporary. Once I see the new KSR grill, I'll make up my mind between that one and the Street Scenes one, and no more tint. Those lenses pop in and out in a few seconds, and are pretty much disposable.

Thanks again for the feedback.

lookin good!

Hi Brad,

Looks perfect so far. Just continue to take your time with those stripes and the finished product will look just as perfect Really good idea to black out the lower front bumper, definity looks more aggressive! Though, I agree that the fogs would look better without the tinting. I'm not sure yet about installing stripes on mine. I'll have to see how my car looks after I finish installing the GT/CS rear bumper and GT500 rear spoiler. My car's all black may look better without stripes. But if I do go with stripes, they'll be white, silver or Alloy in color.

Steve

Looks great so far! I would cover the entire car but I'm biased because that's how I did my own.

It's your car......as along as you're having fun and you like the end result, do it however you prefer.

I put stripes on the rear of the car today and hated it. Pulled them off and threw them in the trash. No offense to you guys who have done vinyl but I didn't care for the finish on the vinyl (it just doesn't have the gloss that the paint does). If I ever decide to go this route again I am going to just bite the bullet and have them painted on. JMO~
