BSM 12" stripe kit installed on Torch Red

Just got though installing the BSM 12" Gloss White vinyl stripe kit with 2" gap.

Yes, it was a pain in the butt, but I'm pleased at the way it turned out.

Perfect! That color combo is one of my favorites, and the 12" stripes look great. How many hours to do it?

Thanks. I spread the install over 3 days, from layout and masking one day, hood-roof-rear trunk area the next day, and finally the spoiler and F&R bumpers the last day.

I would estimate 10+ hours including breaks where I would step back and ask myself what the heck I got myself into.

Did you do it alone? What size masking?

Bill, looks great. I juat got mine back too. Had my BSM kit professionally installed. I wasn't as brave as you. And after the problems the installer had, I'm glad I didn't try it myself.

did you remove the rear badge when doing the rear, or are they cut around it?

The BSM is already pre cut, don't have to remove the badge.

Looks good! My BSM kit is on the way, so I will share your pain, and rewards, soon.

Had help from my brother-in-law. An extra set of hands when peeling the backing off the long pieces and operating the blow dryer really came in handy.

Masking tape I used was the green Scotch body & paint tape. Width is 1.4". I layed the vinyl (approx) .300" away from the tape.

Like Hatchman said, no removal of GT badge was required, vinyl is pre-cut. The vinyl actually slips under the badge, thus having a clean look.
