Inspired by Stangscuba98a's rendition of a 70 Mach 1, I decided to go for a 1969 Boss 302 (wide black hood stripe, black chin and rear spoiler, C stripes, blackout between taillights, hood pins, etc). I dropped it off at a shop yesterday, and am told it should be ready Thursday, just in time for a two different car shows on Saturday.

If anyone has a recommendation for 18x9f/18x10r Magnum 500 lookalike rims, I'm all ears. In the meantime, if the weather holds Thursday afternoon I'll take some pics...

Check out their billet "94 Series Magnum" wheel. It's available in 18" sizes and looks much like the original Magnum 500 wheel.

Just got a call from the shop: Hood, chin and rear spoiler, and area between taillights painted black, hood pins installed, quicklift hood props installed. C-stripe decals, however, were ruined during the application (second shop and 4th attempt!!). :bang: Shop says decals defective, Graphic Express says incorrectly removed from backing. Will pick up car at 3:00 and argue it out there. I will NOT eat the cost of the stripes again. Will post pics of the car anyhow, sometime this evening. Even without the stripes should look pretty good, and I hope to place during a car show Saturday.

Mixture of excitement and anger. Jeez...

Sounds like it might be time to paint the stripes, if you're having that much trouble with them.

Yep, but it's pretty involved if I want them clearcoated, obviously. Pretty much have to take all the trim off, which really adds to the cost. I brought that up in my original proposal, but I had a time constraint (a show tomorrow) and well as financial (I'm saving for the wheels), and the body shop agreed the decals would be the way to go for now.
