Blue Oval Mirrors

Has anyone installed a set of Blue Oval directional mirrors? I am trying to determine where to find the wire to use for the turn signals.

If anyone has a copy of the installation instructions or anything else would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You can patch into the front turn signal wires coming from the SBJ in the passenger kick panel. I used these signals to trigger my Webelectric rear sequentials so that they only worked on turning and not the brake light signal. Here is Webelectric's write up:

Behind the kick panel is the Smart Junction Box (SJB). To access it you need to remove the door sill panel and then remove the kick panel. There are no screws on either of these, they simply pop off. You do not need to disconnect any wires. Remove the SJB by removing 1 bolt at the bottom.

There are several connectors on the back of the SJB. The second one from the bottom is GRAY. On that connector find a GRAY wire with a BLACK STRIPE (this is the LEFT turn signal) and a DARK BLUE wire with an ORANGE STRIPE (this is the RIGHT turn signal). The use of a simple test light with the turn signals on in their respective positions should confirm these two wires.

Connect one of the paired wires to the GRAY wire with a BLACK STRIPE (left turn signal), and connect the other one of the paired wires to the DARK BLUE wire with an ORANGE STRIPE (right turn signal).

Hope this helps.

The wires are long enough that you can take it right to each turn signal on each side. I have them at the shop, getting the mirrors painted, once I get them back I'll be posting pics of the install.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was able to run them through the rubber boots in the doors and hook them up to the appropriate blinkers based on your pictures and instructions. Thanks again for the help.

Nice. A very subtle mod. I like the lower fogs too.

Car looks real nice in general. I really like the Cervini B2 front end.

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I liked the mirrors because you keep basically the same as stock except they have the lenses in the bottom.
