I just got my Vista Blue GT Vert two days ago.

One of the first cosmetics I was thinking about doing was the blackout between the taillights. Was also thinking about painting the mirrors, but after reviewing a lot of the threads on that topic I was swayed away from that. Think the vert, especially with tinted windows, looks fine with the black mirrors.

So, on the blackout panel, what are the opinions on a vert with a black top? I'm wondering if it will look a little too "stripey" - blue bumper, black panel, blue trunk, black top, or if it will look kick hiney as I expect it. Anyone have pics or opinions on the topic?

First off, congratulations on your acquisition! :banana2:

Secondly, I think the trunk blackout is a classy enhancement, just resist the urge to combine it with rallye stripes and all that. I think simpler is better. The blackout would look sharp on your blue pony.

I think the blackout would look good. Get it done in gloss black Vinyl, that way if you ever decide you don't like it or want to change to stripes, you can remove it and not have to repaint.
