Blackout panels - SHR vs. magnetic
I just recently bought the Street Scene panel but will probably not end up using it. I'm just not sure how it would look on a white car. I wanted to get rid of the fake gas cap but can't pull the trigger. I'll probably just remove the cap, get the holes filled and get the trunk panel repainted between the taillights. Someday. Here's a picture of the blackout panel on a green car.

I have had both and was not happy with the magnetic one due to the fit was not perfect. I sent it back and bought the SHR and love it. If you prefer the look of the magnetic one I would just take it to a trim shop and have a piece of vinyl cut for the blackout instead. It would have a more painted look where the trunk curves instead of sticking out like the magnetic one does due to the thickness of the magnet.
Not sure if you're looking for a car with Black stripes or not, but Adrenalin has that. Although his is a SB with White stripes. I didn't think it looked bad at all, it sort of interrupted the stripes in the same manner as the grill in the front, it's an accepted feature that you know is going to be there as long as it's connected to the lines of the taillights.

Just an FYI regarding the magnetic ones that some of you may not have thought of. I use to make things like this years ago when I worked at a sign shop. You need to be very careful with these things if you care about the finish of the paint at all. Afterall, it is a magnet which will attract small pieces of metal. Also, when on the car dirt might get in behind the edges. Regardless, if the paint is not spotless and the back of the magnet completely clean of debris, there is a good chance you will scratch the paint.....a lot!
Ya, for some reason I like the look

Then again, mine isn't a magnetic or a panel. It is painted.

I like it too! Hence the reason I mentioned it. I also like it for the fact that it makes the rear more visually interesting. If you think about it, theres a lot to look at on the front of cars, and usually not that much to look at on the rears, or less. I think this mod jazzes it up in an understated way that nicely compliments the car.
He said he painted it. Adrenalin, are those pics with you back to your stock suspension, or are they still lowered? I remember you talking about looking for a different solution because you were tired of scraping.
The last 2 are without the lowering springs, which is how it looks these days. You can see the difference in the other pick where it is on the grass. Not much clearance between the top of the tire and the fender.
I agree, and it's all subjective based on the tastes of the viewer, but I would submit it's the same at least in principle based on the fact that he has the same expanse of black grill in the front (i.e. the interruption is the same, and the same color). Although I completely concede the point that the black makes more of an impact on Adrenalin's car because of the contrast to the white especially.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
