Blackout Panel

I bought a vinyl blackout from Rocky Mountain Graphics, and I was wonderin' if anyone had any instructions/tips for installing it? I've never put on any stripes or anything before and it didn't come with any kind of instructions...

Get a squirt bottle & fill it up with a mix of water & dishwash detergent. I've heard 409 will also work.
You'll also need a squegee.
Clean the area well, soak it down with the water/soap mixture. peel the backing off the vinyl, soak it down as well with the soap/water mixture.
Lay the blackout panel on the car, it should not want to stick right away, if it does, you need more soap/water sprayed on.
Squegee down & get all the water/soap out from under the vinyl after it's positioned where you want it. Then, after it's squegeed down you can peel off the top paper film.
If you get any air bubbles under, wait a day, then you can ***** with a needle/pin & remove them.
Rocky Mountain Matt Blackout on mine.

Do you have a pic showing where the Rocky Mountain stops at the top? I am looking for one that follows the curve at the top, until it hits the vertical panel (where the third brakelight is). Trying to avoid one that is just the sunken flat surface of the trunk, leaving that small curve showing looks strange to me.

I put on the same Rocky Mountain Graphics panel with satisfactory results. I used a spray bottle with a mix of 50/50 rubbing alcohol and water (1 cup ea) with 1 Tbs of dish soap. I had never applied a graphic before either. Get the biggest bubbles out and the tiny ones will be gone when it dries. Good luck!

Thanks a lot. Now I'm just waitin' for a warm day, and some time to put it on. I'm really not worried about messin' it up, as it was only $20.

Don't have a pic that shows that area in detail. It does go up high enough to include the curved part, stops just short of where it goes vertical.
