I would highly recommend that you check out EBAY.....bought several sets of wheels and tires for my 02 Wrangler and various other cars there and have always gotten a great deal. Never thought of it as a good place to purchase wheels and tires until a friend made the same suggestion to me a year ago, now it is the first place I look. No TAX in a lot of cases as well.

This site lets you pick your year, model and make and from there shows pictures of the rims that fit and even lets you see how they look on the car(yes they have the 05 mustang)The Tire Rack

Not to be picky, but you are confusing bead lockers (normally used in OFF ROAD applications, where a plate covers the bead), and 2- and 3-piece wheels, which is what you want the look of (with the bolt heads), and are typically used in road racing applications.
You're not being picky and you're right.
A friend of mine pointed that out to me today since he is into trucks.
Thanks,
Jason

There are four or five places i have settled on to get my new rims from, among them are these guys: http://www.bozeforged.com/wheelfinishes.htm
you might want to check them out because they do painted finishes so you will be able to get whatever color rims you would like.

(the other places i am considering would be:
http://www.adrwheels.com/
http://www.giovannawheels.com/gfg_v2/main.html
http://www.tsw.com/new/productline.php
http://www.axiswheels.com/wheels.html
i think they all offer some styles in black or hyperblack)
Thanks guys.
b_btrick: Those are some great sites.

I'm going for an industrial look so I'll go with painted black instead of hyper black or black chrome.
I just think the white car with black accents and wheels with blue Shelby stripes would look racey. So I don't want to go with anything flashy.

I just had a whole set of lawn furniture powder coated (4 chairs and a table) for $100. It really isnt' cheaper than paint for small projects, but a whole lot more durable and environmentally friendly. Basically, it is a fine plastic-like powder that is blown from a gun onto an electrically charged part. The fine powder is melted into a smooth finish in an oven. It comes in dozens of different colors and at least 3 finishes, satin, gloss, and semi-gloss. Black is probably the least expensive color, because they place I used sprays it 2-3 days out of the week.

LOL .... thats the look I am going with ... except I am considering the three stripes over the shelby two stripes, and likely white rims just cant settle on the rims.

These are not exactly black but they have a mean old school look. This is what I plan on getting for mine. I want to go 18x9 out back and 17x9 up front with the 3 spoke spinner.

OK, So Chevy designers have better taste in wheels than Ford designers.
I think the wheels on the H&R car would look great in black on an 05 Mustang.

Ford has Bullits for the 05's with black spokes and polished lip with chrome spinners like the v6's. Retail is around $200/wheel which includes chrome locking lugs...

Personally I like high polished or chromed alloys..... any color painted wheels don't do much for me. B)

I would have gone with the black bullitts if they were an option instead of the standard wheels just to get me by until I found what I like, but for me there are just too many Bullitts out there.

one thing you must understand with black wheels, if the visible undercarrage is not PERFECTLY CLEAN and meticulously dressed all the time, they look like crap. The will almost certainly will under headlights at night. Stay with gunmetal. The dark greys will make even semi-clean wheel wells look 'black' in comparisson. The (imitation) FR500's are beautiful, strong wheels for the money, and not insanely difficult to clean.

Just found a problem with the FR500's.
+24mm offset.
And those are the ones I was really leaning towards.
I'll keep your advice in mind. Especially since there are a lot of Gunmetal wheels out there.
