It's harder to find black wheels than I thought it would be.
My pla... right now, is a Shleby-ized '05. White with blue LeMans stripes, tinted windows, black Saleen or CDC grille, and black wheels.
I'd like to have some split 5-spokes with a simulated "bead locker"(?)...

Something similar to those wheels on the H&R Springs car.

Or maybe even these, but in black.

Imitation FR500's. (available in black)

Any other suggestions?

Jason

Yes, but 99% of the wheels I've found aren't offered in black.

Jason, I'm with you... I love black wheels with silver or polished lips....
I have a silver gt, and think dark gray or black will look perfect!!!!
I too can't find what I'm looking for online...
But I really like hre wheels, they offer them , what I'm looking for..
However they cost something like 1000 to 1500 a rim!!!!
Let me know if you have any luck...

I've always dug the FR500s, black or grey.. grey being imitations, but through Ford Accessories you can get the bullit wheels in black if you like those.
I don't think it would be horrifically expensive to take any wheel that you like and have it powder coated.

powdercoating or painting, depending on the original finish, might be an option. I'm having my 17" Upgrades powdercoated black on monday at my dealer here in socal, cost is $500 for the set of 4.

I think black rims are sweet. I'm ordering my 05 black on black with tinted widows. I'm getting the bullitts and painting the spokes and center black. For me, that fits the bill. For you, you might want something else, but anyway, I really like black rims.

I am having my stock grey bullit wheels powdercoated black. I found a guy that will do it for $40.00 each. He powdercoats only the spokes. the rest of the rim stays chromed. He showed a picture of some bullits he did black for a guy who had a black 03 GT. They looked awesome. Check around in your area, and see if anyone does powdercoating. It's alot cheaper than buying a new set of rims that aren't even out yet with .45mm offset.

Jason, if you're just looking for the contrast black wheels offer, you might want to check out SSR Competitions. They come in a dark grey finish with a polished lip. They're also some of the lightest wheels out there at only 16.8lbs per wheel for 18x8.5 wheels.

I'm thinking about these for either a black or mineral grey '05.

What's the deal with fordaccessories.com? I was looking for the bullets with spinners, which are cool as heck, especially if I could get them in 18" by 8 (fronts) and 18" by 9" rear, but even though they are in the brochure, I don't see them anywhere.

Is this just a nut behind the keyboard failure?

I am looking to get these. I too, am getting a black GT, black interior, and tinted windows. These are 18x9..and I found 18x10.5 somewhere else....I don't remember. But yeah, i want black wheels too. It would look sick on a black car.

Not to be picky, but you are confusing bead lockers (normally used in OFF ROAD applications, where a plate covers the bead), and 2- and 3-piece wheels, which is what you want the look of (with the bolt heads), and are typically used in road racing applications.

There are four or five places i have settled on to get my new rims from, among them are these guys: http://www.bozeforged.com/wheelfinishes.htm
you might want to check them out because they do painted finishes so you will be able to get whatever color rims you would like.

(the other places i am considering would be:
http://www.adrwheels.com/
http://www.giovannawheels.com/gfg_v2/main.html
http://www.tsw.com/new/productline.php
http://www.axiswheels.com/wheels.html
i think they all offer some styles in black or hyperblack)
