Billet gas tank covers

How are the billet gas tank covers installed, and which cover is the best to buy (easiest to install, best fit, most durable, etc...)?

I saw an Audi TT Mk 2 with the silver/billet gas tank cover on the blue pearl paint (which is similar to Vista Blue) and it looked very nice.

ok what i want to know is if you are taking about a fuel door or an actual cover that covers the gas tank cause our tanks are in the middle of the car unlike the pre 05 models. If Fuel door then Silver Horse Racing door like the others said. If Tank cover then you are out of luck

It looks like the 2007 fuel door only uses 2 bolts to hold it to the quarter panel.

Ours attaches in a 3-point mount, but uses factory holes, so no drilling is required. The outer 6 bolts are for appearance only, and do not penetrate the quarter panel.

Boltzman: Yep! That was me I was thinking about the billet fuel tank door, but after seeing it on a Chevy pickup, I'm rethinking the idea.

Does anyone have pics of the billet door painted the same color as the car?

No offense but you are missing the point of "BILLET" if you paint it. Save you money... know one would even notice it. JMHO!!
