Mike, I think you are referring to the "Bullitt" SE Mustang that came out in 2001. But I have to agree with Rene on this one. You want the real gas gap to blend in and be less noticeable since there is a faux gas cap like the older Mustangs on the rear of the car. Unless of course you plan on taking your faux gas cap off, I don't recommend it. It will definitely be too busy.

OK, I'll dissent. I want one too. When I find it I plan on painting it body color to help it blend in. But I like the look of the bullitt w/ the fake allen screw attachments, etc.

i think a bullit style cap would look funny on the 05's
it would have a bend in the top? just wouldnt look right

I agree they look good on some models, but I wouldn't want one on my car. Part of what I love about the side view is how sleek they car looks (especially compared to previous model years) and I think the billet door would take away from that.

File under: Would be cool,
Would be really cool to plumb the gas tank to the rear and put a REAL old school billet mustang gas cap there. I have no idea what that would entail, but guessing far too much to make it worth it.
EDIT: forgot to add, ofcourse you would have the apropriate body work dont to remove the old gas cap area thingy and all.
