Which is the best ducktail?
Which is the best ducktail?
I'm looking for a pre-painted ducktail spoiler for my '06 vert and thought I'd ask the group which ones were the best quality. A Google search turned up a bunch of aftermarket Mustang parts dealers, so I'm all over the map here.
Nice photos, guys. I don't want to cover up the 3rd brake light so I guess that rules out the CDC, but I do like the way it fits. I guess I'll hafta look at the Street Scene & Cervini & get pricing info. As far as the spoiler delete look, I think the Mustang needs something to finish off the back end, but I don't like the pedestal mount spoiler. The ducktail is is pretty conservative and looks good on a vert IMHO.
How do these mount BTW? My car has no spoiler, so would I have to drill holes or are these things bonded on?

You said you want to get a ligt bar. Well the CDC Light Bar has just that the 3rd brake light. So you don't have to wory about the 3rd brake light. The CDC has a much smoother look it's not nearly as pronounced as the cervini's IMO it doesnt stick out as much and it looks OEM. I belive the CDC is the only one out there makes a prepainted one. I bought mine prepainted from CDC the match is almost perfect. I just put my lightbar and 3piece ducktail spoiler on last night. I went through the same concerns as you did and I wound up with the CDC. Check out the pics just gone done washing her getting her ready for this weekends car show.
Mounting was not to difficult it was easier to install the lightbar than the spoiler. Just be careful when you use the template use a budy and strecth the template out as much as you can and tape it well. I would also predrill holes a little larger than called for there are six holes you have to drill into the back of your car. Not for the faint of heart. I had a budy help he out and we installed both yesturday afternoon.

mustang corvette accessories | ss inserts try this site for spoilers.
Dont like the Cervinis that much. Never seen one in person tho. Pics make it look oversized for the vehicle. Also cuts alot of view from the rear view mirror from what I hear.
I thought CDC made it both ways, cover the 3rd lamp up, or not.
I have the covered up one. Smoothes out the rear end imo.
